GoalNepal

Nepal will face Oman today in the first official friendly match of the Doha stay ahead of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. The teams will take the field at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar at 9:45 p.m. NST.

The friendlies in Qatar will serve as a warm-up for the third round of AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, which will take place later next week.

Oman are ranked 75th in the world while Nepal are ranked 168th in the world. Hence, this match will prove to be very tough for Nepal without the players who left the camp last month and are not a part of this team until the qualifiers.

Nepal is in Group A, along with Jordan, Kuwait, and Indonesia. Kuwait will host the matches from June 8 to 14.

Nepal have played two unofficial friendlies in Doha so far with both matches ending in draws. Nepal played a 2-2 draw against Timor-Leste followed by a 1-1 draw against Sri Lanka behind closed doors.
