President candidate Karma Tsering Sherpa said that former ANFA president Ganesh Thapa was active in upcoming ANFA election.
Speaking in the press meet held in Kathmandu on Sunday, Sherpa said that election process is disrupted due to direct influence from suspened Ganesh Thapa. Thapa is suspended by FIFA for ten years and was also fined 20,000 Franc for his involvement in corruption.
"ANFA is playing a foul game. They are trying to tamper the election process.
"Suspended Ganesh Thapa is active. We are doubtful about the election", he told the press.
"Code of conduct for election is not imposed. Clubs and district FAs are being lured.", added Sherpa.
He also added that the FA hadn't communicated with AFC and FIFA for sending representatives to the election.
Sherpa will vie against Mani Kunwar, who is a brother-in-law of suspended Ganesh Thapa, for the post.
Former CEO Indraman Tuladhar, former VPs Kishor Jhapali Rai, Bir Bahadur Khadka and Bijaya Narayan Manadhar and ANFA's honorary president Tashi Ghale are supporting Sherpa.
Current ANFA president Narendra Shrestha is supporting Kunwar.
The election will be held on March 28, 2018.
