News NRNA To Bring A Football Team At The Ninth National Games

The NRNA will compete in 18 of the 36 games included in the Ninth National Games, according to Dharmaraj Giri, acting member-secretary of the NRN Sports Academy under the Non-Resident Nepali Association.

He stated, "We've stepped up our preparations, and we're now gathering player information. We will register the players by the National Sports Council's deadline".

NRNA only competed in individual events at the Eighth National Games, but it will also compete in group games this time. A basketball team will be present in addition to football, volleyball, and cricket teams.

The cricket team will come from England (UK). The volleyball team will come from Australia and the United Kingdom, while the basketball team will come from Australia. Similarly, Santosh Karki, the president of Himalayan Football Club Malaysia, has been tasked with bringing a football team. He has stated that he will assemble a team of players from Australia and Malaysia.

Kul Acharya, executive chairman of the NRNA, expressed his enthusiasm for the Ninth National Games. He expressed his excitement at the prospect of using sports to connect Nepalis living abroad with Nepal and stated that NRNA would actively participate in the competition.

According to Acting Member-Secretary Giri, three young vice presidents of NRNA for sports, Himal Gurung, Raj Regmi, Roshan Thapa, and coordinators Abdul Basid and Rabindra Khadka, are coordinating with NCCs in various countries.
