Bikesh Kuthu, Tribhuwan Army FC goalkeeper was among the 17 players recently called up to the national team in place of the 10 players who left the camp after disagreements with the national team. Bikesh Kuthu wrote on his Facebook about his desire to not join the national team with a statement.

Kuthu wrote: "I am fully aware of the current developments in the national team and I understand the tragedy that befell the players. Also, in the past, even though I was fully fit, I was separated from the national team, accusing me of speaking out in the media. Therefore, respecting my nation and the national team, I would like to inform that this time I am unable to participate in the training of the national team, expressing my support for the legitimate demands of the players who are always fighting for the nation."

Following Rohit Chand's removal from the national team's closed training, the senior player wanted to speak with the head coach. Rohit had demanded from coach Almutairi during the training that the players be provided with appropriate lodging and food. Almutairi had asked Chand to leave after receiving the same demand, claiming that he had no place in the camp.

The senior players wanted to talk about Chand being kicked out of the close camp with Almutairi. Almutairi, on the other hand, had ordered all senior players who were trying to talk to Rohit to leave the closed training. After repeatedly refusing to communicate with Almutairi, the players left the hotel late Tuesday night.

The national team is currently in closed camp in preparation for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. Nepal has been placed in Group A of the qualifiers alongside Jordan, Kuwait, and Indonesia. Nepal's first match is against Jordan on June 8, followed by a match against Kuwait on June 11. On June 14, Nepal will face Indonesia in the final group match.

Kuwait will host all of the matches in Group A. The top placed teams in each group along with the five best runners-up will qualify for the Asian Cup to be held in China next year.

Nepal is also scheduled to play two friendlies against Afghanistan on May 25 and 29.
