Tribhuwan Army FC have qualified for the semi-finals of the first Chief Minister BYC Women's Gold Cup going on in Dhangadhi.

In the second quarterfinal held on Sunday, Army defeated Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi 7-0 to advance to the final four.

Army had most of the possession in the match and managed to score four in the first half and three in the second. Indira Rai opened the scoring in the 17th minute and in the 28th minute, Bagmati's Susmita Tamang scored an own goal to give Army a two-goal lead.

Just a minute later, Amisha Karki scored the third. Dipa Shahi scored the teams fourth goal in the 39th minute.

In the second half, Kusum Khatiwada scored in the 49th and 60th minute to take the scoreline to 6-0. Towards the end of the match, Amisha Karki added team's seventh goal to round off a commanding victory for Army.

Nepal APF FC and Biratnagar Metropolitan City will face each other in the third quarterfinal today.

The competition, which is supported by the Far Western Provincial Sports Council, features eight clubs, including departmental teams. The winning team in the Gold Cup will receive Rs 500,000 plus a trophy, according to Chairman Joshi, while the runner-up will receive Rs 250,000 plus a trophy.
