Nepal league champions, Machhindra FC suffered 1-2 loss at the hands of Sri Lanka league champions, Blue Star SC on Tuesday at Dasharath stadium to bow out from AFC Cup qualifiers.

Machhindra FC conceded two goals within 28th minute of the match. Before that, White Lions survived a goal as goalkeeper Bishal Shrestha saved a spot kick in 16th minute.

Kaiyoon scored the opener in 24th minute before Shenal doubled the lead in 28th minutes. Sujal Shrestha scored through header in 90+4 minutes

Backed by home supporters, White Lions performed poor game mixed wih some tough luck. They hit the woodwork twice. The Lions also missed as many as three clear goal scoring chances.

The winners, Blue Star SC will now play against ATK Mohun Bagan in Kolkata on April 12.
