
The second Mills Gold Cup football tournament is going to be held from March 25 in Biratnagar. The organizers held a press conference on Saturday to inform about the preparations being done for the tournament. The tournament hosted by Mills Gold Cup Trust, Biratnagar will have eight teams contesting in it.
The opening match of the tournament will be played between Godhuli Club, Dharan and Urlabari-11, Morang. Biratnagar Jute Mill's ground will host the matches. The winners of the tournament will receive two lakh one thousand in cash prize while the runners-up will receive one lakh one thousand. The final of the tournament will be played on April 1.
APF FC are the defending champions of the tournament. The organizers have estimated that it will cost Rs. 25 lakhs to complete the competition. The main organizing committee has been formed under the coordination of Kishor Subba to conduct the competition in a splendid and decent manner. Raju Shrestha is the co-coordinator of the committee. Various sub-committees have also been formed to make the competition a success.
