News Nepal Suffers Two Consecutive Defeats In SAFF U-18 Women's Championship

Nepal have lost their second match in a row at the ongoing SAFF U-18 Women's Championship going on in Jamshedpur, India.

Nepal lost 2-4 at the hands of Bangladesh today. Nepal had to bear pressure early on as they conceded in the very first minute of the match. Afeida Khandaker gave Bangladesh the lead in the first minute. 

Dipa Shahi equalised for Nepal with a long ranger in the 31st minute. But it didn't take long for Bangladesh to retake the lead. Aklima Khatun put Bangladesh in the lead in the 33rd minute and Mst Eity Khatun doubled the lead a minute later to take the scoreline to 3-1.

Shahada Akter Ripa scored the fourth towards the end of the first half.

Nepal showed a much better performance in the second half and didn't concede any goal. Amisha Karki pulled one back in the dying minutes of the match to bring the scoreline to 2-4.

With this defeat, Nepal remains last in the table with no points on board. India and Bangladesh have three points each.

The tournament is being played on a round-robin format and the team at the top of the table will be crowned champions.
