News Manang Marshyangdi Club Into The Final Of Khaptad Gold Cup!

Title favorites Manang Marshyangdi Club have qualified to the final of the fifth Chief Minister Far-Western Khaptad Gold Cup International football tournament. In today's semifinal, MMC defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club 4-2 on penalties to book their place in the final.

The regulation time ended 1-1. Shishir Lekhi gave Manang the lead in the 28th minute of the match while Suresh Kumal equalized for the Mountaineers in the 80th minute to push the match beyond the ninety minutes and to penalties. And Manang came out on top in the shootout.

Anjan Bista, Rupesh KC, Moussa Abagana and Pujan Uperkoti scored for Manang in the shootout while Ulrich Siewe and Pistone Mutamba were the only ones who converted their penalties for HSC.

Shishir Lekhi was named the player of the match. Bagmati Youth Club and Friends Club will face each other in the other semifinal tomorrow.

The winners of the tournament will receive 21 lakhs rupees and the runners-up will receive 10 lakhs rupees.
