Ananta Tamang Suffers Defeat On His East Bengal Debut
Ananta Tamang has suffered defeat on his Indian Super League debut with SC East Bengal Today. In a match played today at Tilak Maidan Stadium, East Bengal lost 1-0 against Bengaluru FC.
A Sunil Chhetri strike in the 24th minute of the match proved to be enough for East Bengal to suffer defeat. However, Ananta played the whole ninety minutes while becoming the first Nepali player to feature in the Indian Super League in East Bengal's final match of the season.
Ananta had earlier switched to the Kolkata-based outfit from Three Star Club for the final stretch of the season. His future with the club is still undecided. He will participate in the upcoming Nepal Super League as a marquee player with FC Chitwan
