First Ward Chairman Cup organized by Damak Municipality - 3 has seen Mangalbare 11, Urlabari be victorious in the opening match of the tournament. Mangalbare defeated Bhaunney Youth Club, Belbari 3-0 to enter the second round of the tournament.

Anas Magar scored twice in the 43rd and 44th minute of the match to give his team a two-goal cushion. And in the 61st minute, Rohan Karki scored for Mangalbare to take his team's lead to three goals.

Anas Magar was declared the player of the match and received Rs. 3000 in cash prize. Chulacbuli Football Club and organizers Damak Ward No. 3 will face off in tomorrow's encounter.

The tournament is being organized at the proposed Madan Bhandari Stadium in assistance of Damak Municipality from December 19 to December 26. Damak Municipality mayor Romnath Oli inaugurated the tournament.

The organizing Municipal Sports Sub-Committee has also honored GoalNepal American Brand Ambassador Jitu Basnet (Kaka) for his invaluable contribution in the field of football. 

The winner of the Ward Chairman Cup with the participation of 8 teams will receive a medal trophy and certificate along with Rs. 111,000 in cash while the runner-up team will receive Rs. 55,000 in cash. The best player of the competition will also get a cash prize.
