News Atmananda Cup KO Tournament: Phidim In The Semis

With a narrow victory, Phidim Sporting Club advanced to the semifinals of the ongoing Atmananda Cup Knockout Football Tournament.

Phidim advanced to the final four by defeating Jhapa-11 in the third quarterfinal on Monday. Phidim's Dinesh Limbu scored the game's only goal in the 55th minute at Atmananda Stadium.

Dinesh, who scored the game-winning goal, was also named Man of the Match. He was awarded Rs. 1,000 prize as well as a medal.

The competition's final quarterfinal match will be played on Tuesday between Manobhanjyang FC of Darjeeling (India) and the previous winner Shrijanga Sporting Club of Morang, according to the organizers.

 The winner of the tournament organized by Atma Pavitra Hakchat Yakchum will receive Rs. 3,00,168 in cash and the title, while the runner-up will receive Rs. 2,00,168.

On November 30, the final will be played.
