News Nepal 0 India 0: First Half Report
GoalNepal

Nepal has been aiming to soak up the pressure with a defensive style and strike India with counters, either by playing direct or through balls won in the middle, as expected after the lineups were released.

Manish Dangi is the one who everyone on the Nepali team looks for whenever they're on the field. Nepal has attempted to stretch the Indian backline but has been unsuccessful.

To say Nepal had no possession of the ball in the first half is an understatement. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu hasn't had anything to deal with. Through their build-ups, India is attempting to locate their talisman Sunil Chhetri, but Nepal has largely neutralized him to thus point except for one moment when Sunil was unable to tap the ball in from the right. He'd have buried that chance on any other day.

They've primarily relied on straight play to locate Sunil and Brandon. India haven't looked much better than they have in their previous two games, which had left them disappointed. In the second half, Almutairi is likely to make a few changes and bring on some quick players.

Anjan Bista and Aayush Ghalan, the last game's star, should be the ones to come on if the coach decides to make any changes. However, the approach might still be the same from Nepal.

Stats: India have managed to register 8 shots with just one on target. Nepal on the other hand have only managed one shot that went wide. India have comfortably kept 78% of the ball but apart from the Sunil Chhetri chance haven't been able to trouble the Nepali backline.
