Morang FC has moved to the semifinals of Ruslan 9th Simara gold cup defeating hosts Nawa Jana Jagriti yuwa club White 4-1 on penalties at Simara stadium on Saturday.

Both teams invited spot kick battle after playing 1-1 draw in the regulation time.

Bijaya Shrestha provided lead to hosts in the 68th minute. Morang levelled the score in 76th minute through Bhuwan Shrestha.

In spot kick battle, Niraj Basnet, Buddhiman Rai, Bikram Limbu and Dipak Rai converted their kicks for Morang.

Saurav Magar and Man Bahadur Tamang wasted their kicks. Bijay Shrestha could only convert his kick for hosts.

Suraj Singh Thakuri became the man of the match.
