Nepal National team striker-cum-midfielder Bharat Khawas' goal made all Nepalese proud when Nepal National football team played 1-1 draw against Jordan in second round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers held in Kathmandu on July 28.

Nepal National team were thrashed by Hashemite Kingdom in the first leg but Gorkhalis were unlucky not to win the second leg match played at Dasrath Stadium.

As promised, Nepalese football lovers; Dr. Sameer Mani Dixit and Mr. Bishwas Hamal donated Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively to HelpNepal (For a goal that Bharat Khawas scored against Jordan) amid a program organized by GoalNepal.com at Hotel Crown Plaza on Wednesday morning.

Dr. Dixit and striker Bharat Khawas jointly handed over the money to HelpNepal Network President Arun Man Basnet.

Dr. Dixit, son of famous philanthropist Dr. Sundar Mani Dixit, expressed his extreme happiness over the help he made to HelpNepal Network.

“Our family has always been working for the betterment of Nepalese community”, Dr. Dixit, who is Country Director of Center For Molecular Dynamics – Nepal, said, “I am honored to be associated with HelpNepal Network and appeals everyone to support HelpNepal Network. Football is the game in Nepal which can unite all Nepalese and I am keen follower of Nepalese football".

“Thank You to GoalNepal.com for organizing this program”, Dr. Dixit added.

The founder President of HeNN, Rabindra Mishra, veteran Journalist at BBC Nepali Service, thanked Dr. Sameer Mani Dixit and Mr. Bishwas Hamal for their help to the organization.

“I would like to thank them for their help”, Mishra added, “The help will be utilized properly and at proper place”.

“We urge all of those who can, to sacrifice a bottle of beer or a plate of MoMo in a month and donate the savings to the network. Tha main aim of the network is to encourage Nepalese and those who love Nepal around the world to provide assistance in the fields of health and education in rural Nepal. We also provide occasional support to disaster relief efforts”, Mishra added.

“I would like to thank GoalNepal.com for organizing this program”, Mishra added, “We Nepalese should unite and work together to build our country ourselves. We appeal everyone to join us in our initiation for the betterment of Nepalese community and Nepal”.

GoalNepal.com also handed over more than 500 re-usable clothes to HelpNepal at the same program. GoalNepal.com is running Cloth Banking program.
