Dharan FC wasted two goal lead as they suffered a stunning sudden death loss at the hands of Durgapur Steel FC, Kolkata in second quarterfinal match of RedBull 20th Budha Subba gold cup in Dharan, on Sunday.

When Dharan FC was close to victory, they conceded two late goals.

Dharan FC started the game in a very good note as they took two goal lead in first 20 minutes.

Roman Limbu scored the opener early in 2nd minute. Bartaman Rai doubled the lead in 16th minute.

After the break, Durgapur staged a solid comeback as they scored two late goals within two minutes.

Shashikant scored in 79th minute and Subham Thapa leveled the score a minute later.

Tirtha Basnet squandered the kick in sudden death.

Babulal from Durgapur became the man of the match. He received Rs 10,000 cash.

Nepal Police club will meet Kakarvitta football training centre in the third quarterfinal match on Monday.

Dharan FC is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 6 lakh.
