News Dharan FC Coach Arjun Rai: We Have To Respect Referee’s Decision But We Feel Decisions Were Against Us

Dharan FC coach Arjun Rai appeared cool in the post match conference though his team lost 1-0 to Nepal Police club in the semifinal match of 16th Aaha! RARA gold Cup.

NPC scored through spot which they earned after Roman Limbu fouled on Ravi Paswan. Dharan FC players protested against referee’s decision but in vain. Suman Lama scored for Cops.

Dharan FC coach Arun Rai said, “We have to respect referee’s decision but we feel decisions made by the referee were against us”.

FIFA referee Sudis Pandey conducted the match.

“When my players wanted to leave the field, I controlled them. I asked them to play because game is all about sportsmanship. We had some goal scoring chances in the match but we failed to utilize”, said Rai.

He also said that he was proud of his players.

“I am happy with their performance. We have junior players in the team and they can do better in coming matches”, he added.

Dharan FC will now play their home tournament, 20th RedBull Budha Subba gold cup.
