Kusma Municipality has moved to the quarterfinals of Province 4 level first Mayor Cup.

In the pre-quarterfinal match played at Bhakunde ground,Baglung on Wednesday, Kusma Municipality defeated Galkot Municipality 3-1.

Aashish Gurung provided lead to Kusma in the 10th minute but Rahul Gauchan scored an equalizer for Galkot two minuter later. Kusma again took lead in the 27th minute through Sudip Shrestha.

Santosh Pun netted in the 41st minute to make the scoreline 3-1 for Kusma. 11 municipalities are participating in the knock-out championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 2,22,222.

Runners-up team will receive Rs.1,11,111. MVP will get Rs.10,000.

The best players in each category and the best coach of the tournament will be awarded with Rs.5,000 each.
