News National Women's League: Tribhuwan Army FC, Nepal Police Register Win

Two departmental sides, Tribhuwan Army FC & Nepal Police Club have won their respective matches in National women's league football tournament on Tuesday.

Tribhuwan Army FC defeated Waling Municipality 2-0 at ANFA complex. Sharmila Thapa scored one for Army women while Pushpa Gurung scored in an own post. Army are in second position and are two points short from league leaders Nepal APF. Waling are in third position.

Nepal Police women's team defeated Biratnagar metro 3-0 in the second match.

Niru Thapa scored a brace (57', 60') while Nirmala Upadhaya (41') scored another for the winners. Police women are now in fourth position.

Nepal APF will play against Chandrapur municipality on Wednesday.

ANFA is organizing the league with the seven teams. The champions will get NRs 15 lakh.
