All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has confirmed that they will cover all medical expenses of ailing Samikchya Magar.
Magar, a football player who lost her eye sight in a freak accident in Belaka, Udayapur, is undergoing treatment at Biratnagar Eye hospital.
ANFA’s spokesperson Kiran Rai revealed in Biratnagar on Sunday that the FA would cover “ALL” medical expenses. Financial condition of player Magar is not sound.
"Some media and fans have taken us wrong. We said we were delivering Nrs 25,000 for immediate treatment. We had mentioned that we would provide more support for her treatment. Today, on behalf of ANFA, I would like to confirm that we are covering the medical expenses", said ANFA spokesperson Kiran Rai.
Rai also thanked all well wishers who are supporting her with cash.
"We are doing our part. Fans, players and others are showing their love, which can be useful in the rehabilitation process after surgery", added Rai.
GoalNepal is running fund raising campaign for player Magar.
