Ilam: 6th Mai Valley Gold Cup Kicks Off

6th Mai Valley gold cup got underway in Ilam on Thursday.

Gorkha Boys Rupandehi defeated Eagle FC Nagaland 4-0 in the opening match played at Tundikhel.

Both teams played barren first half but Gorkha Boys improved their performance and scored four goals in the second half.

Hazmat (66'), Fofona (77'), Shakti Rai (90+1, 90+3) scored apiece for the winners.

Two goal hero Shakti Rai became the man of the match.

Hosts Mai Valley FC will play against Gangtok City Sikkim on Friday.
