Sunsari XI defeated Rupandehi XI 3-1 to enter final of Ruslan 9th Falgunanda gold cup in Phidim, Panchthar.

Tirtha Basent (15'), Saujan Yakhya (74') and Hemanta Thapa Magar (74') scored apiece for the winners.

Chirring Gurung scored for Rupandehi in the stoppage time.

Bishnu Sunuwar from Sunsari was declared the man of the match. He received Rs 10,000 cash.

Birtamod United will meet Morang XI in the second semifinal match on Friday.

Phidim sporting club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 3 lakh.
