Brothers United Morang has entered semifinals of 2nd Haldibari gold cup football tournament at Jalthal, Jhapa.

Brothers United thrashed Munal Club, Chandragadhi, Jhapa 5-0 in quarterfinal match played on Tuesday.

Rejin Subba, Pujan Uparkoti, Buddhabal Tamang - Jhapali players - played from the winning team.

Sanam Bhujel scored a brace while Saiman Limbu, Saujan Rai and Suman Chamling scored apiece for the winners. Bhujel became the man of the match and received Nrs 1100 cash.

Eight teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Nrs 1,21,111. Runners up team will get Nrs 61,111.

Red Star FC, Birtamod will play against Church Boys United in first semifinal match on Wednesday.

Jalthal FC is organizing the championship.
