Chainpur municipality will play against Katari municipality in the final of province 1 Chainpur mayor cup football tournament.

Hosts Chainpur defeated Suryodaya municipality, Ilam 4-3 on penalties on Thursday. Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time. Goalie Sanam Rai became the man of the match.

In another semifinal match, Katari municipality defeated Urlabari municipality 1-0. Nischal Lama scored the match winner and became the man of the match.

Final match will be played on Friday.

The championship has a winning purse of Nrs 5,55,555.
