
Youth team from Nepal has topped group in Copa Puma Toreros Cup in Gotenba, Shiziouka, Japan.
The team played 0-0 draw against strong looking Kawasaki Frontale in the first match played on Friday.
Alex Poudel scored the match winner as Nepalese colts defeated Malva FC 1-0.
They thrashed Numazu FC 4-0 in the last match to top the group.
They will play against French side, Marseille and two other teams on Saturday.
Former Nepal international, Basanta Gauchan, football enthusiast prakash Tulachan and NPO (Nepays) have invited the team to Japan.
Fun Roots Academy and its president Jun Hirano are supporting Nepalese team.
“Boys played really well. I am very happy to see their performance against top teams”, said Gauchan.
Prakash Tulachan said, “Boys played extremely well. I hope they will play good in tomorrow’s matches”.
