Birtamod Veterans Club has lifted the title of 4th International Veterans Cup.
In the final match held at Guheswori ground, Jhapa on Wednesday, Birtamod Veterans defeated Purbanchal Veterans Club 1-0.
Toyaram Bhujel scored the match winner in the 6th minute. The goal scorer Bhujel was announced the man of the match. Purbanchal Veteran striker Suman Shrestha, who scored five goals in the tournament, was awarded the highest goal scorer award.
Mohan Gurung of Birtamod Veterans was rated the best player of the tournament.
Winners bagged one lakh one thousand and ten rupees while runners-up received forty thousand four hundred and four rupees.
A total of fourteen teams including two teams from India and a team from Bangladesh took part in the tournament that was organized in the memory of late Tanka Rai.
