Mai Valley gold cup will be organized in scheduled date, president of Mai Valley FC Dhiren Chemjong told GoalNepal.

Due to loggerheads with Nepal Army battalion stationed in Ilam regarding football field, hosts Mai Valley FC had earlier revealed that they had cancelled the event.

Nepal Army battalion owns the field. They have recently fenced the field with barbed wire.

However, round table meeting held on Friday decided to conduct the prestigious event at Ilam Tundikhel in the scheduled date (Falgun 23 - Chaitra 2, 2075).

"We will organize the event in the scheduled date. I would like to thank all for their concern and support", said president Chemjong.

Top teams from Nepal will take part in the event.
