Kakarvitta football training centre has suffered Nrs 7 lakh loss from 3rd Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta gold cup football tournament.

The club organized press meet on Sunday at Kakarvitta where they revealed the report.

Organizing committee president Meen Bahadur Basnet said, "We collected Rs 41,95,000 and spent Rs 49,36,180.

"We suffered loss because we didn't receive money that were promised by donor. Spectators turn out were also low due to election", added Basnet.

Adviser committee president Shankar Thapa said, "We will host better tournament this year".

Meanwhile, the centre has honored two journalists, Ganeshman Mukhiya and Laxmi Upreti for their role in promoting sports in district.
