10th Martyr's memorial district wide football championship got underway at Katardangi, Barahdarshi rural municipality, Jhapa.

Goldhap sporting club defeated Charpane sporting club 3-0 on penalties in the opening match.

Devendra Khanal became the man of the match.

Sainik club will play against Haldibari FC on Wednesday.

12 teams are participating in the championship.
