News Birtamod Municipality Organizing Inter City women's Championship

Birtamod inter-city women's football tournament is going to be held in Birtamod. The winner of the tournament organized by the Birtamod Municipal Sports Development Committee will receive a cash prize of Rs 300,000 along with an attractive trophy.

The organizers informed this at a press conference in Birtamod today that the tournament will be held from Magh 26 to Falgun 5. Birtamod Municipal Sports Development Committee Chairman Bikash Giri said that the tournament was organized with the aim of supporting the production of female players.

According to Chairman Giri, the Municipal Sports Committee has been conducting training and sports-related tournaments. The organizers have stated that Birtamod, Arjundhara, Kankai, Mechinagar, Bhadrapur, Damak, Shivasatakshi Nagar and Jhapa, Kamal and Buddhashanti Rural Municipality will participate in the tournament.

Chairman Giri said that the estimated cost of the tournament will be Rs 3.466 million. The runner-up of the tournament to be held at the Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium will receive a trophy along with Rs 150,000.

It is said that to complete the competition, a financial committee has been formed under the coordination of President Giri, playground management under the coordination of Santosh Gurung, publicity under the coordination of Bishal Agrawal, player management under the coordination of Ganesh Katuwal, stage management under the coordination of Ramesh Upreti, and hospitality sub-committee under the coordination of Asha Gurung. Birtamod Municipality Mayor Pabitra Mahatara Prasai, Deputy Mayor Nagendra Prasad Sangraula, ANFA Jhapa President Bhagirath Ale Magar (Mama) gave their statements at the program. The program was conducted by Secretary Bishan Limbu.
