Sagarmatha Youth Club of Morang has entered the finals of the international invitation Taplejung Gold Cup held here.

In the first semi-final match held today at Bhanu Jan Mavi ground, Morang defeated the host Sangharsh Youth Club 2-1 and secured a place in the final. Milan Rai of Uklin Morang scored two individual goals in the title race, while captain Anup Sendang scored one goal for Taplejung. Morang's Milan Rai took the opening lead in 9 minutes. Taplejung had to wait for the 60th minute to return to the game. In which Anup Sendang's hard shot was not stopped by Pramijaya Gachchdar and the result was tied.

The game was pushed to extra time after the score was tied at 1-1 in the scheduled 90 minutes. In which Milan Rai proved to be lucky for Morang. He brought the team closer to the title by scoring in the 97th minute. He became the man of the match. He got 5 thousand in cash.

On Saturday, the last semi-final match between Birtamod United FC Jhapa and Salhesh Yuva Club of Siraha will compete for the title. The winner of the final match to be held on Bhadra 10 will get a trophy with 5 lakh rupees and the runner-up will get a trophy with 2 lakh 50 thousand 555 rupees. The Gold Cup was organized by the Lakhe Jatra Organizing Committee on the occasion of the Lakhe Jatra.
