Nepal APF FC defeated Kumar Sporting club, India 2-0 to enter semifinals of 78th Independence Day Football Tournament in Gangtok, Sikkim.
The Sikkim Football Association, in collaboration with the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs under the Home Department, Government of Sikkim, is organizing the event.
Four home teams—Gangtok Himalayan Sporting Club, Sikkim Police FT, Aakraman FC, and Kumar Sporting Rongneck—taking on four visiting teams: Nepal Armed Police Force Club (Kathmandu), Khawzawl Vengthar FC (Mizoram), Elevenstar Club Bongaigaon (Assam), and Kanchanjunga FC (West Bengal) are competing.
Quarterfinal matches are scheduled daily at 2:30 PM starting August 8th. Each match will feature one home team facing off against a visiting team, promising an exciting clash of styles and strategies.
