Nepal, who are in Group H for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, played their last match of the group stage against Yemen on Tuesday night.

In the match held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Nepal played an exciting 2-2 draw with Yemen and ended their journey to the World Cup qualifiers by adding points in the tournament.

Yemen took the early lead in the game. In the ninth minute of the game, Nasser Al Gahwashi scored the first goal through a penalty. But in the 22nd minute, Sanjiv Bista scored the equalizing goal for Nepal.

Although the first half ended with a 1-1 draw, Nepal took a 2-1 lead in the second half with Gillespie Jung Karki's goal in the 66th minute.

But Nepal lost that advantage at the last moment. Mohammed Al-Dahi scored the second goal for Yemen in injury time to end the game in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

In the next match of Group H held on Tuesday, UAE and Bahrain also shared the points with a 1-1 draw.

After this result, UAE and Bahrain have 16 and 11 points from 6/6 games and are in first and second place respectively. They have been selected for the 2027 Asian Cup and have also entered the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Likewise, Yemen and Nepal with 5 and 1 points are in the third and fourth place respectively.
