Nepal's Kathmandu Kickers have maintained their undefeated streak in Germany's famous youth football tournament VR Bank Cup.
The Kickers' U-14 team, which has played 12 matches till Monday, has scored 28 points with eight wins and four draws. With one match left in the tournament, the team's chances of winning the title have become stronger.
Out of the three matches played on Monday, the U-14 team of Kickers won two and tied one.
In the first match on Monday, Kickers drew 1-1 with the second team of host Mommendorf. Ashutosh Mahotra scored the goal for the Nepalese team. In the second match of the day, Kickers defeated SV Aubing by 1-0. Arybir Singh scored the decisive goal in this important victory of the team.
In the third game, the team defeated SV Jamring by 3-0. Norgel Sherpa, Ashutosh Mahotra and Google Basoula scored 1 each in this impressive victory of the team. The team's title will be decided from the last match remaining in the tournament.
There are 9 other teams from various German academies participating in this group, which has the U-14 team of Kickers. The Nepali team has not lost any of its matches in the round robin and final stage. Kickers' U-11 team's title chances are over.
