On the occasion of International Labor Day, the Youth Sports Association, Israel, successfully organized the 3rd Labor Day Cup Futsal Tournament at the Levesky Futsal Ground in Tel Aviv.
The event saw six teams from the Nepali community compete fiercely for the title.
In a thrilling final match, Lion Tel Aviv FC emerged victorious, defeating KYC FC with a score of 6-2 to become the champions. The winning team was awarded 3000 sekels, a trophy, and medals, while the runner-up team, KYC FC, received 1500 sekels, a trophy, and medals.
The tournament was graced by the presence of H.E. Kanta Rizal, who served as the Chief Guest. Various Nepali organizations and enthusiastic fans came out in large numbers to support their teams, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Individual accolades were also presented to standout players of the tournament.
Nawaraj Bista was named the Best Player, Rajib Rai received the award for the Highest Scorer, Pratap Limbu was recognized for the Best Defense, and Sagar Limbu was honored as the Best Goalkeeper.
The main motto of the tournament, "Sports for Health," underscores the importance of physical activity and community engagement through sports. The Youth Sports Association, Israel, expressed their gratitude to all participants and supporters for making the event a grand success.
This year's Labor Day Cup not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also highlighted the strong sense of community among Nepali expatriates in Israel.
