
Birtamode United FC has entered the finals of Adarsh Challenge Cup held at Buddhashanti in Jhapa.
Birtamod beat Belwari FC in a tiebreaker by 5-4. Yogesh Gurung, Diwas Urau, Abhishek Gurung, Ashish Chapagain and Devendra Tamang managed to score for Birtamod. Only Ashok Khawas, Manish Dhimal, Vivek Paudel and Nishan Limbu scored for Belbari.
Belbari's Prashant Awasthi's shot was deflected by Birtamod's goalkeeper Sandeep Limbu. Birtamode's goalkeeper Sandeep Limbu became the player of the match.
Both teams played a goalless draw at the scheduled time of the match. A tiebreaker was chosen to decide the game. In which Birtamod United proved to be lucky.
In the final match on Saturday, Birtamod United will compete against India's Manevnjang FC. The winner of the competition will get 2 lakh cash and trophy along with the title.
The best defender, midfielder, goalkeeper, striker and budding player of the tournament will get a prize of Rs 5,000 each, said Manesh Dahal, coordinator of the sports committee.
