News Tribhuwan Army FC Enters Final Of 7th Bhojpur Gold Cup

Tribhuvan Army Football Club, Kathmandu has entered the finals of the ongoing 7th Bhojpur Mayor Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.

In the first semi-final held on Thursday, Army came close to the title after defeating Khotang Bhagwati Sports Club, Khotang in a tiebreaker. Before that, both teams played a 1-1 draw in the scheduled time.

In the injury time of the first half, Army took the lead through Basant Zimba's goal, but Khmir Gilson equalized for Khotang at the beginning of the second half.

In the tiebreaker, Army managed to enter the final by winning 4-3 over Khotang Bhagwati. Army's Suraj Basnet was declared Man of the Match in the match.

Under the competition, the second semi-final match on Friday 14th Baisakh will be played between Salhesh Yuva Club, Siraha and Church Boys United, Kathmandu, the organizers informed.

The winner of the tournament organized by the Bhojpur District Football Association will receive a cash prize of 5 lakhs along with a title, while the runner-up will receive 3 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 15th of Baisakh.
