News Jhapa: 3rd Adarsh Challenge Cup Match Fixtures Revealed

The schedule of the 3rd Adarsh Challenge Cup football tournament to be held from 15th Baisakh has been announced.

The match schedule was announced at the press conference held today in the hall of the Buddha Adarsh Ma vi.

According to the schedule, the host Adarsh Yuva Club will face Dhruvatara Sporting Club of Damak in the opening match. Similarly, in the second match, Birtamod United FC will compete against North Bengal FC of India.

The third match will be between Manevanjyang FC and Dharan FC, while the fourth match will be between Red Horse FC Ilam and Belbari FC, according to Manesh Dahal, the former president of the club and the coordinator of the tournament.

Eight teams from Nepal and India will participate in the tournament, the organizers said in a press conference on Tuesday.

The work of preparing the playground for the competition has been completed. A temporary parapet has been constructed for the convenience of the spectators. The field repair work has reached its final stage.

The second edition of the competition, which started in 2070, was held in 2071. Matrika Shrestha, president of the club, informed that the postponed competition will be held for the third time this year after the second edition.

The winner of the competition will get 2 lakh cash, runner-up will get 1 lakh trophy and medal. The player who is the player of the match of each game will get a prize of 3000 rupees.

The best goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards and budding players of the final match will also get a prize of Rs 5,000. Coordinator Dahal informed that 21 lakh 96 thousand rupees will be spent on the competition.

Duryodhan Singh of the organizing committee informed that cultural programs will be performed every day to make the competition grand.

Jhapa District Football Association will provide technical support for the tournament sponsored by Indira Foundation on Wednesday. Buddhashanti rural municipality has mainly supported the competition.
