Adarsh Academy, Birtamod has entered the semi-finals of the first Amar Yuwa Cup Knockout Football Tournament.
Adarsh Academy secured a place in the last four by defeating Arjundhara's Laxmidhap FC by 7-4 in the third quarter-final match at the Ganesh Mavi Stadium located in Buddhshanti 4 on Monday.
In a very competitive match, Laxmi Dhap FC could not turn the result in their favor despite taking an early lead. For the victory of Adarsh, Divas Bastola completed a hat-trick by scoring 3 goals, while Sahil Dhimal scored 2 goals, Pawan Baske and Samir Hemran scored 1/1 goal to ensure a wide victory.
Similarly, Rohan Rai scored 2 goals, Kritan Visunkha, Sujan Viswakarma scored 1/1 goal for Lakshmidhap FC, but they were not able to do enough to win, but they were eliminated from the competition. Divas Bastola, who scored a hat-trick in the match, received 1,000 cash as the man of the match.
The winner of the competition organized by Amar Yuva Club, Jhapa will receive a cash prize of 50,000 and the runner-up will receive 30,000.
The final match of the tournament, in which a total of 8 teams are participating, will be held on the 19th of Falgun.
