Jhapa Gold Cup has insured players, referees, technicians, coaches, managers and officials.
In view of the upcoming 6th Jhapa Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament, Chairman Binod Basnet informed that accident insurance has been done.
An accident insurance agreement has been signed between Gold Cup and Nepal Insurance Company Limited Kathmandu.
Jhapa Gold Cup has taken out accident insurance targeting possible accidents that may happen to players, referees, officials, technicians and volunteers during the event.
The agreement was signed by Ishwar Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Insurance Company and Binod Basnet, President of Gold Cup.
According to the official Pokhrel, if any of the players, referees, technicians, coaches, managers and officials have an accident in the stadium during the game, the medical expenses will be Rs 1 lakh and in case of death, the company will provide Rs 7 lakh to the deceased.
In the agreement, company department head Anal Raut and Gold Cup general secretary Gajendra Bahadur Paudel are witnesses.
