In the friendly match organized on the occasion of the second Lahan Mayor Gold Cup 2080, the local bodies representatives of Lahan Municipality and Lahan Veterans have won.

Lahan Veterans defeated Katari Veterans by 3-0 in the first match at Pashupati Adarsh Ma vi grounds. Shivshankar Chaudhary, Shyamsunder Singh and Hemant Chaudhary scored goals for Lahan.

Similarly, in the second match, the local bodies representatives defeated the employees of Lahan municipality by 2-0 goals. The staffs could not return the goal against the representatives who came under the captaincy of the mayor of the municipality Shyam Prasad Chaudhary.

Yugal kishore Chaudhary, president of ward number 1 and Manoj Koirala, president of ward number 13, scored goals for the winners.

The winner Lahan Veterans got 10,000 cash and the runner-up Katari Veterans got 7,000 cash trophy, while the winning people's representative team got 5,000 cash and the runner-up staff team got 3,000 cash and a trophy.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) Birganj United and Salhesh Youth Club Siraha will compete for the title in the Gold Cup organized by Him Kasturi Youth Club Lahan. The winner will get 3 lakhs in cash.
