The I-League debut of Arik Bista, the star midfielder of Nepal, who joined the Indian club Shillong Lajong Football Club, did not turn out to be a pleasant one.
On Saturday against Inter Kashi, Arik's team Shillong lost by 1-0.
The only goal scored by Gianni dos Santos in the 23rd minute of the first half became the decisive goal for Inter Kashi in the match played at Shillong's home ground.
Arik, who received a yellow card at the beginning of the game, could not make his debut happy even though he played the whole time.
After this result, Shillong is in fifth place in the league table with 19 points from 12 games. On the other hand, Inter Kashi is in sixth place with 18 points. Shillong will play their next match against Gokulam Kerala on Monday, February 12.
