
Nepal's league champion Church Boys United has entered semifinals of 23rd Aha! Rara Pokhara Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.
In the fourth and final quarter-final held on Tuesday, the Church Boys entered the final four after defeating the departmental team Nepal Police Club 1-0.
Samir Tamang scored the only decisive goal for the church boys in the match played at Pokhara Stadium.
Samir Tamang of Church Boys, the decisive scorer, was chosen as the man of the match. Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Wednesday, Magh 17, will be played between Three Star Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club, the organizers informed.
The winner of the competition organized by Sahara Club, Pokhara will receive 1.2 million cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 0.6 million. The final match will be held on the 20th of Magh.
