Defeating the defending champions Sankata, the departmental team Tribhuvan Army has entered the semi-finals of the 23rd Aha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup in Pokhara.

Army defeated Sankata 2-0 in the second quarterfinal match at Pokhara Stadium today.

Dinesh Hemjan scored two goals and Gillespi jung Karki scored one goal to win the match.

Army will now play the winner between Nepal Police Club and Church Boys United. Army has reached the finals four times, but so far the title has been averted.

As part of the competition, there will be a competition between Manang Marsyangdi and Jaulakhel on Monday. According to the Sahara Club, the winner of the competition will receive a prize of Rs 12 lakh.
