Jawalakhel Youth Club defeated Mahichandra Football Club 1-0 to enter quarterfinals of 23rd edition of Aha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup.

In the pre-quarters of the third day organized by Sahara Club Pokhara, Jawalakhel won 1-0 against Machindra at Pokhara stadium.

Hisub Thapalia scored the only goal in Jawalakhel's victory. In the long pass of last defense Sushil Kumar Yadav, Hisub beat Machindra's defense Devendra Tamang and keeper Bishal Shrestha and pointed the ball in the direction of the goal. Hisub was declared the man of the match.

Jawalakhel came to Pokhara after 9 years to participate in Pokhara Gold Cup. Before this, Jawalakhel participated in the 10th, 11th, 12th and 14th Aha Rara.

Machhindra, who entered the field under the captaincy of Bishal Shrestha, could not make good use of the opportunities. In the 48th minute of the game, Machindra got a free kick near the penalty box, but Bimal Ghartimagar's shot hit the crossbar.

According to the organizer, the fourth match under the pre-quarter game will be held on Friday between the departmental team of the Armed Police APF club and the Churchboys club.
