
Shanishre FC, Jhapa has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 5th Phidim Nagar Cup football tournament.
In the second quarter-final match held today at the Baraju Stadium of Ranitar located in Fidim 7, Shanishchare defeated the Young Boys of Ilam Sakhejung by 2-0 goals and made it to the semi-finals.
Pradip Budhathoki scored both goals for Shanishure in a competitive match. In the 12th minute of the first half, Pradeep Budhathoki took the lead after passing Saurabh Subba.
In the second half, Ilam, who played with some control, kept Shanishare under pressure for about 10 minutes. However, in the 20th minute of the second half, Pradip Budhathoki doubled the lead.
Pradeep got another pass from Saurabh Subba's pass to Shyam Murmu on the right side and it turned into a goal for Shanishure. Pradeep missed the opportunity to score a hat-trick.
Rib Jhapa's Turkeni FC Jhapa will play against Panchthar's LNFC in the third quarter final on Monday. The winner of this competition organized by Swotantra club Phidim 7 will get 180,000 cash and a trophy.
