Phungnam Sporting Club of Chulachuli won the title of Shubh Dipawali Cup football tournament organized by Phakphokthum Sports Development Committee ward number 7.

Chulachuli defeated Kolbote FC in a tiebreaker by 4-2 in the final match played at Janakalyan Mavi Stadium on Saturday.

Both teams played 1-1 at the scheduled time. The initial lead was scored by Roshan Angdembe of Kolbote. However, Chulachuli's Rajendra Magar scored the equalizing goal without being able to share the joy of the goal.

Chulachuli's Rajendra Magar was declared the man of the match in the final match. Chulachuli's captain Diwas Shrestha was declared the best player and the best goalkeeper Yubin Rai.

The top scorer was Shukraj Rai of Kolbote. He scored 4 goals. They each got 2000 cash prizes and trophies.

The winner Chulachuli got 125,000 in cash and a trophy, while the runner-up Kolbote settled for 65,000.

Organizing committee chairman Padam Limbu, program coordinator Yuvraj Limbu, Phakphokthum rural municipality chairman Dipendra Khanal, deputy chief Kalpana Rai, Sporting Ilam De Mechi chairman Suhang Nembang and others distributed the prizes.
