Udayapur: Rumpum Jhapa XI Moves To Semifinals Of 4th Katari Gold Cup

Rumpum Jhapa XI brushed aside Saraswati Youth Club to enter semifinals of 4th Katari gold cup.

The Jhapa based team defeated the Kathmandu based Saraswati Youth Club 2-0 in the third quarterfinal match at Katari, Udayapur on Monday.

Ajay Rajbanshi and Laxman Chaudhary scored apiece in the 13th minute and 87th minute for the winning team.

Jhapa XI goalie Manoj Pradhan was adjudged the man of the match. He received Rs 5,000 cash.

Church Boys United will meet Sankata Club in the last quarterfinal match on Tuesday.

Saathi Samuha is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 5 lakh.
