Ilam: Maijogmai Inter Municipal Football Championship Kicks Off

Maijogmai inter municipal football championship got underway at Nayabazar, Maijogmai on Sunday.

Phakphokthum rural municipality defeated Suryodaya municipality 4-3 on penalties to enter second round.

Both teams were tied at 1-1 till regulation time. Swodesh Limbu scored for Phakphokthum while Migma Gurung scored for Suryodaya.

Roshan Limbu became the player of the match.

Deumai municipality will take on Rong rural municipality on Monday.

Maijogmai rural municipality sports development committee is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 2 lakh.
