News Six Arrested For The Waling Helicopter Incident

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has stopped the flight of Prabhu Air's helicopter. Captain Ranesh Dangol was beaten up when the helicopter landed without permission on Magh 5 while the game was going on at Walling playground in Syangja.

In the 40th minute of the game between Waling Red and Avenir FC, Cameroon, a helicopter from Prabhu Air suddenly landed on the field. Spokesperson Jagannath Niraula said that the Civil Aviation Authority has stopped the flight of all six helicopters of Prabhu Air serving from Pokhara for investigation.

Niraula said that Prabhu Air has been asked for a written explanation about how the incident happened and whose fault it is, and until the truth is known, the operation of the helicopter has been stopped. The flight should only take off and land after obtaining permission from the airport and local administration and guaranteeing peace and security. But that procedure was not followed.

Similarly, Captain Ranesh Dangol, beaten up while landing the helicopter, registered a case at Ward Police Office Walling demanding action against the person who chartered and beat him up. Dangol has filed a crime and indecent behavior case against air flight security and demanded action.

With the captain's complaint, the police have arrested Binod Gaire, Sushil Giri, Khim Bahadur Thapa, Ujjwal Thapa, who chartered the helicopter, and Bishnu Gurung and Suresh Shrestha, who beat them.

Information Officer Police Inspector Padam Thapa said that six arrested people have been further investigated and more will be arrested after they are identified in the video.
